We are the Natural Capital Innovation Zone for Scotland

It’s the right place, we have the right people and it’s the right time for the South of Scotland.

The South of Scotland is perfectly positioned to deliver change and was designated as Scotland’s Natural Capital Innovation Zone (NCIZ) by Scotland’s Deputy First Minister in October 2024.

What is the NCIZ?

The NCIZ is the region in Scotland which is perfectly positioned to drive change due to its unrivalled and unique combined qualities.

The NCIZ spreads across the Scottish Borders and Dumfries & Galloway.

The NCIZ will help Scotland address the twin crises of biodiversity loss and climate change through furthering natural capital opportunities, attracting responsible investment and driving forward innovation.

Any business or organisation who would like to explore opportunities in the South of Scotland, should get in touch.
